Stephen Hendry MBE is a former professional Snooker player and now broadcaster and commentator for both the BBC and ITV across all of their Snooker coverage.

Stephen is widely regarded as one of the greatest Snooker players of all time and is best known for his domination of the sport in the 1990s, during which he won the World Championships a record seven times.

As well as his seven World Championship titles (five of which he won consecutively), Stephen also won six Masters titles (including five consecutively) and five UK Championship titles.

Stephen was ranked world number one for eight consecutive seasons between 1990 and 1998, and again in 2007 winning a remarkable 36 ranking titles. Stephen also holds the record for the most century breaks compiled in one match and the most centuries compiled in one tournament as well as making a total of 11 competitive maximum breaks. Now working with both the BBC and ITV across live broadcast events, Stephen has built and grown the now hugely successful CueTips brand, with content and events reaching millions
of people.

Winner of ‘YouTube Channel of the Year’ at the 2024 Broadcast Sports Awards, the channel has over 330,000 subscribers and has amassed over 90 million views and continues to grow, develop new formats and change the face of Snooker, having had a significant impact on driving new audiences to the sport.
